The simple word "flywheel" does not quite describe the function of a flywheel in a Guzzi rngine. Other than in cars, it has an active function here in clutch operation. If worn, there will be serious clutch problems. Wear is a problem and brings us to the topic of material and manufacture quality. Original parts were very good, but are not available anymore. Aftermarket parts barely meet up to these original quality standards. This forced us to make our own, at a fraction of the cost of the original part. Our parts are made of 1100 N/mm˛ steel, not easy in production but very sturdy in daily operation. Perfectly balanced and 100 % compatible to the rest of the clutch parts like springs, plates, starter ringgear etc. Marks for position of pressure plate and TDC left and right are of course provided.
||There are 4 flywheel versions, basically identical for function but of different weight. They are interchangeable, making it easy to upgrade an old SP or California ! All 8-spring clutch models are compatible to our flywheels.
4.1 Kg for the Calis and touring models and 3,1 Kg for Le Mans are provided to meet original specs. But also 2,6 and 2,1 Kg for the racetrack. All have one in common: They are steadfast and in perfect balance due to german CNC production. Made to withstand even the wildest tuning engine !
